“没有那种呼之欲出,豪情四射,也做不来这件事。要知道在海上遇到风暴,你无处可逃。”郭川先生的帆船“青岛号”距离岸边还有十几米的时候,他再也按捺不住,纵身跃入4月10多度的海水中向岸上的家人游去。人群一片惊呼,他妻子的声音变了调,尖叫着,“你慢点,你慢点!”湿漉漉的他爬上岸,对着自己的妻儿,没有立刻拥抱,只有长跪不起和痛哭失声。这一天是2013年4月5日,郭川完成了海上138天孤单的海上航行,成为第一位无动力帆船单人不间断环球航行的中国人。这种帆船,没有柴油或汽油发动机,也没有各类动力传动装置,多用于展示驾驶者技巧性的比赛,也有人为了探险目的驾驶它行驶于茫茫大海中。郭川的选择既是这项勇敢者游戏的新格调,更是一种个人力量的直接表达。
