The English Bible played an inestimable role in the formation and development of the entire Western civilization. Quite a number of common names and meanings of the generalization of the names of people, places and things have greatly enriched the expressiveness of English. The true understanding and proper translation of these English terms for the Bible must be based on familiarity and understanding of the Bible culture.
