在过去的四年中,第六分部异常活跃。不但提出了许多新计划,并且各技术委员会在世界范围内举行了会议以准备光生物学新发展的报告。一本CIE的光生物学专集于1993年出版。可惜,计划在这4年中完成的项目多数仍未按期结题。原因主要是对世界范围对平流层臭氧减少及大气层内UV—B(280~315nm)辐射水平增长的关注而促使研究者涌入光生物研究领域。这不但引起了人们对更多计划的兴趣,也使人们意识到应当对正在撰写的几个报告中的建议值进行再检验。与此相关的有紫外辐射(UVR)对皮肤的影响──从红斑到皮肤癌,对免疫系统的影响,以及对眼睛的影响。一些技术委员会还致力于提出对UVR的防护措施。制订与灯源光生物安全性相关标准的可能性已在考虑中。对植物生长室以及植物紫外效应的光生物研究已通过第六分部技术委员会的审阅。当这个4年度临近结束时,由于大量的报告接近完成,这预示着1996年将看到光生物学选集新报告的高潮。
In the past four years, the sixth branch was extremely active. Not only have many new plans been put forward, but various technical committees have also held meetings around the world to prepare reports on new developments in photobiology. A CIE photobiology album was published in 1993. Unfortunately, most of the projects planned to be completed in these four years are still not completed on time. The main reason is the worldwide attention to the reduction of stratospheric ozone and the increase of UV-B (280-315 nm) radiation levels in the atmosphere, which has prompted researchers to flood into the field of photobiological research. This has not only led to people’s interest in more programs, but also made people realize that the recommendations in the several reports being written should be re-examined. Related to this is the effect of ultraviolet radiation (UVR) on the skin - from erythema to skin cancer, effects on the immune system, and on the eyes. Some technical committees are also committed to raising protective measures against UVR. The possibility of developing standards relating to the biosafety of light sources is already under consideration. Photobiological studies on plant growth chambers and plant UV effects have been reviewed by the Technical Division of the Sixth Division. When the four years are drawing to a close, as a large number of reports are nearing completion, this indicates that the new report on photobiological collections will see the culmination of 1996.
