Globally, the power industry’s emissions account for more than one-third of energy-related emissions and account for more than two-thirds of coal consumption. Whether it is regulatory procedures, decisions or mechanisms, it will have complex and subtle and far-reaching effects on the investment, operation and emissions of the power industry. Although many aspects of regulation do not explicitly address climate or environmental issues, they still have a significant impact on emissions. Therefore, regarding the theme of emission reduction in the power industry, an in-depth understanding of regulatory issues is needed.
