ctive To make different experiments and to make sure of clinical situations of the children’s cryptosoridium enteritis Methods First, we observed the samples under the high degree microscope and found “the wicked refractile sphere”, then we authenticated it using the bodies stained by the modified acid fast stain(carbolfuchsin,decolorand and counter stain) Two methods together will make the diagnosis fast and accurate When the samples contain few oocyst or the patients are suspected, we can use the formaldehyde to increase the opositive rate Results During November 1997 and January 1998, wecollected six thousand three hundred and fifty stool specimens at the Outpatient Department of Internal Medicine, Outpatient Service Department of Intestinal Tract as well as the kindergartens in the Nanjing Children’s Hospital and we made investigation on the infection of the cryptosporidium The result indicated that the rate of the cryptosporidium was 3 19% The infective rate for boys is 1 9% and the infective rate for girls is 1 29% Conclusions There are few reports about the effectual remedy to the cryptosoridium We often treat them using allicin capsules (Garlic allicin capsule produces diene propyl bisulfide and garlic sulfur glucoside A) These can kill bacterium and resist fungus and parasite effectively
