当我最初看到潘鲁生作品的时候我就意识到了这位艺术家的作品里面中国传统绘画的精神和元素真实存在。潘鲁生并没有像大多数画家那样用中国传统的艺术语言展开创作,并没有因循守旧地重复传统的内容。好奇心驱使他继续探寻一种当代水墨的新高度。他也并没有把自己安全地停留在传统水墨的绘画技巧层面上,他意识到了中国当代水墨并不是对传统绘画的复制和重复,而是要走出一条创新的道路来。他用了传统材料和新的表现手法来创作当代抽象艺术作品。这些作品与杰克逊·波洛克等世界级的抽象表现主义大师作品放在一起比较时,不会有丝毫的逊色。
When I first saw the works of Pan Luosheng, I realized the true spirit and elements of the traditional Chinese painting in this artist’s work. Pan LuSheng did not like most painters to use traditional Chinese art language to create, and did not follow tradition to repeat the traditional content. Curiosity drives him to continue looking for a new level of contemporary ink painting. He also did not stop himself safely at the level of traditional ink painting techniques. He realized that contemporary Chinese ink painting is not a duplication and repetition of traditional painting, but an innovative way out. He used contemporary materials and new expressions to create contemporary abstract works of art. When compared with works of world-class abstract expressionists such as Jackson Pollock, these works will not be inferior.
