India’s Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) is currently conducting a series of trials of the Muntra series of unmanned vehicles. The Muntra project started in 2007 and was developed by the Defense Vehicle Research and Development Agency (CVRDE), a unit of the Defense Research and Development Organization. The project developed 4 models of Muntra-N, Muntra-S, Muntra-B and Muntra-N based on the BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle platform and maintained the original car’s overall dimensions and mobility.
