我们都知道司马相如是汉朝的大文豪。所谓“文章西汉两司马”,他是与太史公司马迁齐名的。在司马迁著“史记”“司马相如列传”里,还特别保留了这位前辈文人的几篇大赋,可见连太史公司马迁对他也十分景仰。可是,看了武汉市越剧团演出的“卓文君”,我要为这位大文豪不平了。在该剧编剧者的笔下,司马相如在舞台上竟成了那样一个文理不通的人。让我从那剧本的“唱词集锦”里抄下一段唱词吧,这是在司马相如听说卓王孙要邀他赴宴的时候唱的:
