盛家坝乡位于恩施市西南边陲,东与宣恩县椒园、晓关接壤,南与咸丰县清坪、黄金洞吡邻,西抵利川市毛坝和本市白果乡边界,北至芭蕉侗族乡南部边缘,处在恩、利、咸、宣四县(市)交界处。恩咸公路横穿全境,距恩施城52公里,是恩施市南部的门户所在。始建于1954年的盛家坝乡卫生院就座落在盛家坝集镇的中心。盛家坝乡的特殊地理位置使作为全乡医疗卫生保健服务和卫生行政管理中心的乡卫生院担负着本乡及周边毗邻县(市)7个乡镇约7万余人的防病治病的重任,服务半径达30余公里。目前,以临床科室布局和专业技术人员结构层次日趋合理的乡卫生院本部为中心,下设一个门诊(二门诊),2个中心卫生室和15个村卫生室的医疗卫生网络已覆盖全乡。全院
