1987年11月,溧水县林副业局在南门外寺桥建造宿舍,施工中发现一批窖藏铜钱。这批铜钱装在陶罐内,埋在距现地表二米许深处。出土后瓦罐被击碎无存,铜钱卖到县利民收购站。由于收购站的同志及时打电话通知我们,我们赶去将它们全部购回。铜钱共重二斤半,质地极差,大小混杂穿连,多小钱,已锈结成块。经仔细除锈,共得汉至刘宋时期的货币871枚(包括破碎而可计数的)。现介绍如下:
