The impression I often give to the Contemporary Chinese Ink Painting Exhibition was that I entered a messy junkyard and made me feel bored and sad. Is there any need to organize a purely contemporary ink painting exhibition? The fact that ink and wash paintings use special materials and techniques is not the reason for such exhibitions. Every large-scale exhibition of contemporary art takes for granted the most diverse ways of working, skills and materials.
