如果把书法批评置于历史的范畴,我们会发现一些十分有意思的事情。还是让我们先来看一个民国史的问题吧。读民国史或民国人著作,有两个方面必须要十分注意:其一是避尊者讳,其二是公与私分明。尤其是对于有修养的文人来说,这两点是绝不可少的。认识不到这两点,就可能会发生误判。典型的例子体现在梁启超身上。读梁启超年谱,会有很多地方十分难解,其中两处令我印象深刻。
