番泻叶为豆科植物狭叶番泻树或尖叶番泻树的干燥叶片。味甘、苦,性大寒。诸本草皆载此药有泻下功能,据称可引起强烈腹痛、呕吐等不良反应,为此,番泻叶历来不为一般医者所习用。近几年,有些医院在行腹腔诸脏器造影前,多用番泻叶代替清洁灌肠,效果很好。我们也多次这样用过,并未发现过明显的副作用。笔者曾于巡回医疗及在我院肠道门诊中应用一味番泻叶治疗急性肠炎、菌痢,每多获满意疗效。现将一点用药体会介绍如下;盛暑季节,外界湿热熏蒸,人体脾胃
