Objective: To investigate the effect of pregabalin on post-stroke pivotal pain (CPSP). Methods: Seventy patients with CPSP were randomly divided into pregabalin group and carbamazepine group, 35 cases were treated with pregabalin and carbamazepine respectively. Four weeks later, visual analogue scale (VAS) was used to evaluate the curative effect and adverse effect reaction. Results: The VAS scores of pregabalin group and carbamazepine group were significantly lower than those before treatment (P <0.05 or 0.01), and the VAS score of pregabalin group was lower than that of carbamazepine group (P <0.05) The incidence of adverse reactions in pregabalin group was lower than that in carbamazepine group (P <0.05). Conclusion: Pregabal is effective and effective in treating post-stroke central pain, which is worthy of clinical application.
