The cultural exchanges between China and France have a long history, and the real influence of French art on China began with a large number of Chinese students going to France to study Western art in the early 20th century. From the perspective of art exhibitions, the Chinese art exhibition held at the Beumon Museum in Paris in May 1933 had aroused great interest in the Chinese and foreign painting circles.
