随着对外开放的逐步扩大,高等教育改革的逐步深入,我国大学英语教学质量逐步提高,取得了较大的成绩。但是,社会用人单位仍然反映大学毕业生的英语水平不能很好满足工作的需要,亟待进一步提高。笔者从事大学英语教学近30年,较长时间在工科大学从事本科和研究生的公共英语教学。总结多年教学经验,感到目前要进一步提高大学公共英语的教学质量,有几个问题值得认真研究。
With the gradual opening up to the outside world and gradual deepening of higher education reform, the quality of college English teaching in our country has been gradually improved and great achievements have been made. However, social employers still reflect that the English proficiency of college graduates can not meet the needs of their work well and needs further improvement. The author engaged in college English teaching for nearly 30 years, a long time engaged in undergraduate and graduate public English teaching at the engineering university. Summing up many years of teaching experience, I feel that at present we should further improve the quality of public English teaching in colleges and universities. There are several issues that deserve careful study.
