Premature delivery is one of the risk factors of brain development, and the lower the gestational age, the higher the risk. Early identification of preterm infants with developmental disabilities is a key window to improve their prognosis. In recent years, whole-body exercise assessment has become a very important tool for the prediction and follow-up of dyskinesia in high-risk premature infants due to its advantages of noninvasiveness and simple operation. The initial assessment of whole body movement was a visual perception assessment technique conducted by professionally trained assessors. There is no indicator that can be objectively described. With the development of computer technology, the development of the whole body movement assessment technology has been further promoted. Nowadays, motion recognition focuses on continuous, objective and quantitative assessment by means of computerized methods, capturing and analyzing related limb movements with devices. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the research and application of exercise recognition technology in premature infants assessment in the hope that this objective evaluation technology will be promoted and approved in the future and help more clinicians grasp the key of premature infants intervention window.
