The 12th meeting of the IMO Bulk Liquid and Gas Sub-Committee (BLG) was held in London, England from February 4 to 8, 2008. BLG agrees with the draft amendments to MARPOL Annex VI and the amendments to the technical rules for nitrogen oxides. These amendments will now be submitted to the 57th SEA Committee meeting in March this year. The meeting will further discuss three options including new marine engine options for reducing emissions of sulfur oxides and particulate matter
