英语流行歌曲中的指称往往具有模糊性,比如,根据唱歌者心理表征的不同,第一人称代词I既可以指称歌中的角色,又可以指称唱歌者本人,而很多时候它指称的是歌中角色和唱歌者本人的混合体。传统的指称理论很难解释这种模糊性,因为它们关注的是形式上的或语法层面的等同和相互替换,而忽略了行为主体(写作者/说话者、读者/听话者)的心理表征。该文利用概念整合理论对英语流行歌曲中指称的模糊性进行研究,指出这种模糊性的实质是两种实体在人们心理表征中的概念整合。
The allegations in English popular songs are often ambiguous. For example, according to the different psychological representations of singers, the first-person pronouns I may refer to the characters in the song as well as the singer himself, and in many cases, it refers to the characters in the song And the singer himself a mixture. Traditional fuzzification theories find it hard to explain such ambiguities because they focus on formal or grammatical equivalence and mutual substitution, ignoring the psychological representations of actors (writer / speaker, reader / listener). This article uses conceptual integration theory to study the alleged fuzziness in English pop songs. It points out that the essence of this ambiguity is the conceptual integration of the two entities in the psychological representation of people.
