All kinds of graduation photos have now become a compulsory course for Chinese university graduates. For some observers, the recent debate over university graduation actually stemmed from China’s generation gap. The older generation experienced the chaos of poverty and “Cultural Revolution” when they grew up. In rigid dogmatic and puritan style management, they are particularly accustomed to behaving, or at least ostensibly obedient. Thirty years of reform and opening up have brought ever-higher standards of living, modern lifestyles and more freedom. As a result, the dumb characteristics of traditional Chinese began to fade.
