全国科学大会以来,广大科技工作者积极响应华主席、党中央的号召,投入了新长征的行列,为实现毛主席、周总理的遗愿,把我国建设成为现代化的社会主义强国,努力贡献力量。我国科技事业正呈现一派春光灿烂、百花齐放的喜人景象。作为基础学科的数学、物理学、化学、生物学、天文学和地质学,在我国科学技术蓬勃发展的这个新阶段,正日益显示着它们各自的重要作用。这里我仅就化学这门基础学科的地位和它在实现四个现代化中的作用谈一些看法。
Since the National Science Conference, the majority of scientific and technological workers have responded positively to the call of Chairman Hua and the Central Party Committee of the CPC and have invested in the ranks of the new Long March. In order to realize the will of Chairman Mao and Premier Zhou, China has become a modern socialist power and made every effort to make its contribution. Our scientific and technological undertaking is showing a gratifying scene with bright spring flowers and flourishing flowers. Mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy and geology, as the basic disciplines, are increasingly showing their respective important roles in this new phase of the rapid development of science and technology in our country. Here I will only comment on the status of the basic discipline of chemistry and its role in the realization of the four modernizations.
