The development of a diode-array side-pump double-stripe-coupled single-mode Q-switched laser is described. The pump source is a diode laser with a coupling efficiency of 90% using a trapezoidal wave guide plate coupling system. The cavity is a convex-concave cavity and a total reflection mirror. The radius of curvature of the output mirror is 3.0 m. 0m variable reflectivity super-gaussian mirror. The laser output single pulse energy of 18.23mJ at a repetition rate of 100Hz with a pulse width of 15.25us and a beam quality of M2 <1.5 with a super-Gaussian beam with flat top distribution.
