The Eighth World Oil Conference was held in Moscow in June 1971. For the first time, geophysical prospecting took a prominent position during this session and was discussed at two professional meetings. Geophysical exploration has received tremendous attention because of the advances in instrumentation and methods that have made the role of geophysical exploration in oil and gas exploration increasingly significant. This session of the geophysical literature include: First, on the use of seismic data (the United States) Second, the seismic exploration of high-speed calculation method (United States) Third, from “where” to “What?” (United States) Fourth, the depth of automatic recovery law)
