The U.S. administration recently accused Toyota Motor Corp. of installing the defective exhaust emission control system in 2.2 million cars that Toyota Motor Corp. produced in 1996-1998. The U.S. government requires Toyota to repair these computer controls and fined 58.5 billion U.S. dollars. As Toyota Corp has rejected the U.S. government’s $ 100 million fine, the government justice department sued Toyota’s US subsidiary in violation of the U.S. Air Clearance Act on behalf of the Environmental Protection Agency.
