Maxtor公司推出的MaXLine Ⅱ、MaXLine Plus Ⅱ硬盘是定位于近线存储的产品,前者所内置的硬盘为5400转、2MB缓存,后者所采用的硬盘为7200转、8MB缓存,均提供ATA并行接口和SATA串行接口,其最高容量可达到300GB、250GB,为超大容量存储及低端服务器提供一种新的低价位存储方案。根据测算,其存储成本与磁带机相差无几。
