襄汾县是国家确定的优质棉基地县之一,在连续5年突破50公斤大关的基础上,1989年全县13万亩棉花,平均亩产达到75公斤,比亩产最高的1986年65.35公斤提高14.8％,比1988年亩产50.5公斤增长48.5％。同时,品级也有了明显提高。据测定,1989年全县平均品级为1.48级,比“六五”期间提高1.5级,比1986—1988年三年平均品级提高1.05级。
Xiangfen County is one of the high-quality cotton base counties established by the country. On the basis of breaking the 50-kilogram mark for five years in a row, in 1989, the county’s total area of 130,000 mu of cotton reached 75 kg per mu, the highest per mu in 1986 65.35 kilograms increased by 14.8%, 48.5% more than the 50.5 kilograms per mu produced in 1988. At the same time, the grade has also been significantly improved. According to the test, the average grade of the whole county in 1989 was 1.48, an increase of 1.5 over the period of the “6th Five-Year Plan” and an increase of 1.05 over the average grade of three years from 1986 to 1988.
