2002年7月,根据群众举报,湖北省十堰市纪委、监察局对涉嫌违纪违法的该市工商局原局长、党委书记曾庆满实施了“两规”。经查,曾庆满在任职期间,先后利用职权收受贿赂164954.40元,收受礼品礼金人民币47950元、美元200元。2003年4月,十堰市委给予曾庆满开除党籍处分,湖北省工商局给予其开除公职处分。2003年5月14日,十堰市茅箭区人民法院一审以受贿罪判处曾庆满有期徒刑5年。如果单从受贿的数额来看,相对于那些收受百万甚至千万的巨贪,曾庆满只能算是一个小贪。但是翻开他的罪恶史,我们又不能不说,这个小贪犯下的却是大恶。他不仅把自己送进了监狱,在市工商局形成了以他为轴心的“腐败圈”,还把儿子带进了铁窗。
