1988年9月,中国地理学会沿海开放地区研究会在广州举行了首次学术讨论会(封二照片1～7)。会上,代表们对如何进一步办好沿海经济技术开发区提出许多积极建议。现综述如下: 一、关于经济技术开发区的地位与作用自从1984年8月以来,经国务院批准,在14个沿海开放城市陆续兴办了13个经济技术开发区。3年多来,这些开发区在引进外资和先进技术,沟通中外经济联系,进行改革开放试验,促进、带动母城及周围地区的经济发展方面,在不同程度上起到了积极作
In September 1988, the first seminar was held in Guangzhou by the Association of Coastal Areas Open Research of China Geography Society (Fengsifu 1 ~ 7). At the meeting, delegates made many positive suggestions on how to further develop coastal economic and technological development zones. The summary is as follows: I. Status and Function of Economic and Technological Development Zones Since August 1984, with the approval of the State Council, 13 economic and technological development zones have been set up in 14 coastal open cities.
