清代的湖广总督府坐落在古武昌城望山门和文昌门之间,即今解放路南端武昌造船厂内。从顺治二年(公元1645年)到光绪三十七年(公元1911年)的266年间,先后有100多位总督在这里执篆理政。历史无情,100多年过去了,绝大多数总督在时间的大漠里蒸发了,如风吹过、云飘过,后人已经不知道他们曾经的存在。
The Qing government’s government is located in Huguang Gucheng Wucheng Wangshan Gate and Wenchang Gate, now Jiefang Road, the southern end of Wuchang Shipyard. From Junji two years (AD 1645) to Guangxu thirty-seven years (AD 1911) 266 years, there have been more than 100 governors here executive seal administration. History is ruthless. More than 100 years have passed. Most governors have evaporated in the desert of time. When the wind blows and the clouds float, the descendants have no idea what they used to be.
