20世纪50年代中,四川省某劳动改造管教支队收押了一个名叫杨华生的蓝眼黄发混血儿重刑犯。该犯在投劳初期情绪比较稳定,尚能认罪服法,接受改造。后因受到身在异国他乡的亲生母亲的影响,致使这一单独的改造转化工作变得复杂起来,并导致我外事机构的介入。经过劳改单位和我外事机构多方教育、疏导,使罪犯及其亲属最终转变了立场。犯人学习、劳动积极起来;罪犯亲属的思想也由原来的抵触到后来的逐步理解,乃至积极配合劳改部门,加速了对罪犯的教育改造。杨犯在后来的改造期中表现很好,多次立功受奖,最后获得提前释放的宽大处理。
