On January 23, the FDA’s Nonprescription Medicines Advisory Committee and the Endocrine and Metabolic Agents Advisory Committee began discussions on GlaxoSmithKline’s request for 60 mg of orlistat capsules as an over-the-counter drug Low-calorie low-fat diet with obesity can make adults lose weight. The issue is expected to be decided in March this year. The name of the drug submission was Alli.
