1、覆草方法。杏扁园覆草以早春解冻时进行效果最好。结合浇水施氮肥,把碎秸草、绿肥、厩肥等均匀摊撒于园地,草源缺乏者可只覆盖树盘。覆草前可向地面喷撒辛硫磷等农药,以毒杀害虫。秋末结合浇水,把覆盖物翻入土中做肥料。 2、作用。降低水分蒸发,提高抗旱能力;防止盐分上升;抑制杂草生长,节省劳动力;减少水土流失,增加土壤的通透性;提高土壤肥力;降低地温,推迟花期,避免晚霜危害。
