乌鲁木齐市有两所中医医院,即乌市中医医院和乌市第二中医医院。分别拥有病床300张和100张,规模和医疗水平与全国市级中医医院相仿。两家医院因科技落后、设备陈旧、缺乏特色,管理经营方面存在诸多问题,发展缓慢,步履维艰。为适应市场需求,1997年底在市政府、市卫生局的支持下,进行了乌鲁木齐市中医医院和市第二中医医院的合并。经过一年多的运作,实现了综合性中医医院人、财、物的合理配置和使用,发挥了规模效益,提高了竞争能力,较好地解决了资金短缺、设备闲置、重复投资等问题。两所市级中小型中医医院的合并是继南京鼓楼医院集团化经营之后进行的又一次大胆尝试。经过一年多的实践,各项工作已初见成效。
There are two Chinese medicine hospitals in Urumqi, namely Urumqi Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital and Urumqi Second Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. There are 300 beds and 100 beds respectively, and the scale and medical level are similar to those of the national municipal Chinese medicine hospitals. After more than one year of operation, the rational allocation and use of human, financial, and material resources in a comprehensive Chinese medicine hospital has been realized. It has brought scale benefits, improved competitiveness, and has solved problems such as shortage of funds, idle equipment, and repeated investment. The merger of two municipal small and medium-sized Chinese medicine hospitals is another bold attempt after the operation of the Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital. After more than one year of practice, all work has achieved initial results.
