“北京医院”,那四个狂放苍劲的大字,是毛泽东主席生前为这所医院写下的唯一的亲笔题词。1949年1月,古老的北平翻开了新的一页。新中国诞生,使这所医院真正获得了新生。4月,伴随解放大军南下的隆隆炮声,一支由延安中央医院和延安白求恩和平医院的军医组成的精干队伍,奉中央军委卫生部的命令接管了北平医院。从此,中央革命根据地延安的革命传统和我军的优良作风在这所医院生根开花。
“Beijing Hospital”, the four wild vigorous characters, is the only personal inscription written by Chairman Mao Tse-tung for this hospital. In January 1949, the ancient Peiping opened a new page. The birth of New China made this hospital truly new. In April, accompanied by the rumbling of the liberation force south of the army, a cadre of Yanan Central Hospital and Yan’an Bethune Peace Hospital’s military personnel took over the Beiping Hospital on the orders of the Central Military Commission’s Ministry of Health. Since then, the Yanan revolutionary tradition in the Central Revolutionary Base and the excellent style of our army have taken root in this hospital.
