小说期刊是中国小说发展到近代,在西方新闻出版事业影响下兴起的具有鲜明时代特色的小说载体和传播媒介。据不完全统计,从1892年韩子云创办第一份小说专刊《海上奇书》开始到1919年,海内外产生的中文小说期刊就有约70种。它们主要集中在上海、广州、香港、武汉等开放城市,以日刊、周刊、旬刊、半月刊、月刊、季刊或不定期刊等多种形式在社会上公开发行。以今天的观点来看,《小说
Novels and periodicals are the carrier and medium of novels with distinctive characteristics of the times which have developed from modern Chinese novels into modern ones under the influence of Western press and publication. According to incomplete statistics, about 70 kinds of Chinese novels have been produced at home and abroad since Han Ziyun founded the first novel “The Sea Wonder Book” in 1892.
