For more than two decades, numerous experimental studies have demonstrated that retrovirus C causes some animal malignancies such as lymphoid and myeloid leukemias. In 1980, for the first time, Gallo and Poiesz of the National Cancer Institute developed the T lymphocyte cell line (HUT_ (superscript +)) from lymph node biopsy in patients with Cu-taneous T-cell Iymphoma (CTCL) 102), a new human retrovirus, human T-cell leukemia-Lymp-homa virus (HTLV) was isolated. A total of more than 12 strains were subsequently isolated from all over the world. It has been confirmed that HTLV is different from animal retroviruses and is closely related to the onset of certain special types of leukemia / lymphoma in humans and also to the newly discovered Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS). The discovery of HTLV is a great progress in the etiology of human tumors, causing widespread attention, this article focuses on review
