现代信息技术的发展，特别是计算机网络技术在教学中的运用，以及“人才培养模式改革和开放教育试点”项目研究工作，都对电大教师的素质提出了新的要求，使电大教师的社会角色发生了变化。为迎接这个挑战，电大教师角色必须随之转换，教师的作用也具有了全新的内容。为此，必须采取切实可行的措施，全方位的提高教师的素质，以适应开放教育的需要。
The development of modern information technology, especially the application of computer network technology in teaching, as well as the research on the project of “Talent Training Model Reform and Open Education Pilot Project”, put forward new requirements on the quality of TVU teachers so that TVET teachers’ social roles Has changed.
