晋宁磷矿矿床的低镁风化矿约9212万吨简单擦洗后就能满足湿法磷酸原料的要求。据上海化工研究院评价结果,精矿的转化率为98.89％,国内最佳。用晋宁的低镁脱泥中矿制湿法磷酸也取得令人鼓舞的成果。晋宁磷矿还有贫矿6736万吨,表外矿13726.5万吨,可以作为黄磷炉料的配矿。据资料,与昆阳富矿配矿,硅钙比为0.8时可获较好指标。晋宁的贫矿位于富矿、中矿的下部,其间无夹石,开采时顺便采出。
