非常荣幸有这样的机会来讲几句话。我们刚刚开完十六大,十六大对未来经济的描述使我们非常鼓舞。那么十六大以后我们看什么?十六大报告中令我们最注目的一句话是“要把发展作为执政党的第一要务”。如果说邓小平同志讲“发展是硬道理”,十六大就根据这个道理提出了一个措施,就是要把发展作为第一要务。
Very honored to have such a chance to speak a few words. We are just beginning to complete the 16th CPC National Congress and we are very much encouraged by the description of the economy of the future at the 16th CPC National Congress. So what do we look after the 16th CPC National Congress? The most important sentence in the 16th CPC National Congress report is “Development should be the number one priority for the ruling party.” If Comrade Deng Xiaoping said that “development is the last word,” the 16th CPC National Congress proposed a measure based on this principle, that is, we should take development as the first priority.
