我们很早就知道,地球是有磁性的,但是地球的磁性究竟从何而来,却至今还没有得到一个满意的解答。去年9月,苏联的第二个宇宙火箭降落在月球上,侦察出月球四周没有磁场。这个资料是十分宝贵的,它将为建立新的地磁学说奠定坚实的基础。巨大的磁体自从近代科学兴起以来,科学家对于磁性本质的研究已有很大的发展,特别是出现了研究磁电关系的电磁学,并且在这个基础上,创造了许多新的工具,象发电机、电动机、无线电、雷达和电子计算机等等,使人类在跟大自然的斗争中掌握了强大的武器。但是科学家对于地磁学方面的研究进展却非常缓慢,可以说,它是跟不上时代要求的。大家知道,有关地磁场的基本数据和它的变化规律是航海、航空等方面决定方位
