TACITE coding is a steady state and transient multiphase flow simulation tool for the design and control of oil and gas gathering and transport networks. A standard hydraulic model has been developed that is suitable for pipelines of any grade and diameter, as well as dealing with the problems of most flow conditions encountered in practice. The new simulation theory can distinguish between two types of flow patterns: â ’separate flow patterns (layered or annular); â’ distributed flow patterns. Intermittent flow pattern (slug, eddy current) is a combination of these two flow patterns. The same theory has been used successfully for edge crossing criteria to ensure the continuity of model variables through this transition, which condition is important for correctly simulating transient phenomena. Use explicit method to realize transient resolution. The advantage of this approach is that it follows the wavefront and makes it easy to achieve the resolution of complex pipe networks, and is easy to maintain in view of the advances in physical models and numerical schemes. The performance of this standard hydraulic model can utilize a large amount of test loop data, especially with the Boussens Industrial Test Circuit. The first test, based on field data, gave encouraging results, especially for condensate lines operating at low flow rates.
