咸宁地处华中腹地,东邻赣北,南接潇湘,西望荆楚,北靠武汉,是贯通南北的重要通道。面积约一万七干五百多平方公里。人口二百七十五万余人。境内山峦起伏,属低山丘陵地带。现辖咸安区、嘉鱼县、赤壁市、通山县、崇阳县、通城县一市一区四县。几千年来,咸宁的劳动人民在这块丰饶的土地上繁衍生息,创造了丰富的物质文明和精神文明。民歌就是这宝贵文化遗产的一部分,民歌有号子、田歌、小调、风俗歌、灯歌、儿歌等体裁,这些民歌给创作带来了丰富的素材,这些富饶的民间资源是创作的基础。
Xianning is located in the hinterland of central China, north of Jiangxi Province, south of Xiaoxiang, west Jingchu, north of Wuhan, is an important channel through the north and south. An area of about 17,000 more than 500 square kilometers. The population is over 2.75 million. The territory of undulating hills, is a hilly area. Has jurisdiction over Xiangan District, Jiayu County, Chibi City, Tongshan County, Chongyang County, Tongcheng County, a city of four districts. For thousands of years, the working people in Xianning have thrived on this fertile land and have created rich material and spiritual civilization.
