邓小平关于建设有中国特色社会主义理论,是对毛泽东思想的继承和发展。邓小平在1979年11月26日会见外国朋友时曾经说过:“坦率地说,现在我们提倡的正是过去毛主席50年代提出的,基本东西是毛泽东思想里面的内容,现在把它贯彻执行。”(《邓小平论建设有中国特色的社会主义》一书第45页)当然,邓小平同志在继承中有新的创造,但“基本东西是毛泽东思想里面的内容”。比如,邓小平关于社会主义初级阶段的理论,是对毛泽东社会主义不发达阶段这一光辉思想的继承和发展。又比如,邓小平关于社会主义商品经济和市场经济的理论,也是对毛泽东社会主义商品经济这一光辉思想的继承和发展。
Deng Xiaoping’s theory of building socialism with Chinese characteristics inherits and develops Mao Zedong Thought. When Deng Xiaoping met with foreign friends on November 26, 1979, he said: “To be frank, what we advocate now is exactly what Mao Zedong put forward in the 1950s. The basic things are the contents of Mao Tse-tung’s thought. Now they are implemented.” Of course, Comrade Deng Xiaoping created new creations in his inheritance, but “basic things are the contents of Mao Tse-tung’s thought,” of which Deng Xiaoping’s article entitled “Building Socialism with Chinese Characteristics” (p. 45). For example, Deng Xiaoping’s theory of the primary stage of socialism inherited and developed Mao Zedong’s brilliant philosophy of underdevelopment of socialism. For another example, Deng Xiaoping’s theory of the socialist commodity economy and the market economy also inherit and develop Mao Zedong’s brilliant idea of socialist commodity economy.
