In recent years, we often hear in the news of a spate of deadly school shootings worldwide—including theApril 1999 massacre of 14 students and a teacher at a suburban Colorado high school, which arouses the attention ofthe people all over the world and the debate over gun control. Historically, the debate over gun control has peakedfollowing a series of murders of several presidents of America. In this short essay, I will discuss what problems there arewith gun ownership, should the purchase and ownership of firearms be limited by laws, and how to limit the ownershipof guns.
