Lung cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors, its mortality rate ranks first in malignant tumors, but its pathogenesis is not yet clear. Aquaporins (AQPs) are a group of cell membrane transport proteins involved in the permeation of water and some small molecules. In the field of cancer research, the role of AQPs has drawn increasing attention. AQPs can not only participate in the transport of water and the formation of tumor blood vessels, but also relate to the migration and invasion of tumor cells. Reviewing the research progress of AQPs and different pathological types of lung cancer is conducive to a new perspective of the molecular mechanism of lung cancer incidence in order to provide new ideas for the clinical treatment of lung cancer.
