今年36岁的叶军是湖北美术学院副教授,书法专业研究生导师。用叶军自己的话来说,他现在是传统与现代的纠合体,处于矛盾的位置自己主攻的方向是绘画,可现在从事的是书法教学,而真正的兴趣却在篆刻。在美术界,叶军是一位综合性的人才,他的绘画、篆刻、书法已得到圈内人士认可。看过他的画的人都会说一句“这是个很有特色的画家。”他的绘画作品参加过中国第七届全国美展、中国第八届全国美展,湖北第九届美展,巴黎lssy国际双年展等,曾获中国第八届美展优秀作品奖、湖北第七届美展银奖,湖北第八届美展铜奖。去年年底,叶军在“La Biennale lssy”双年展后,又赴西班牙、意大利、罗马等地进
Ye Jun, 36, is an associate professor at Hubei Academy of Fine Arts and a postgraduate tutor in calligraphy.
