At 23 o’clock on March 19, 1997, our company completed the factory test of a 600 MW turbine generator produced by Sino-Japanese cooperation. The test results show that the machine’s performance indicators meet the joint design values of China and Japan and meet the user’s contract requirements. The 600MW class generator has the characteristics of large capacity, high parameters, good reliability, low energy consumption, and low pollution to the environment. Its scale economy and social benefits are difficult to compare with small units. The 600MW generator will gradually become the main power unit of China’s power grid. After 2000, China’s power grid will send 600MW.
