The structure of Beijing Oriental Plaza is complex, with many changes in elevation, large single-layer area, and many holes in the slab. The construction period is tight. The full application of prestressing technology in the project solved the problem of structural stress, and tried to solve the problems related to temperature stress and construction. Two kinds of prestressing techniques, non-adhesive and bonded, were applied.
