From January to October, the export growth continued to fall, reaching a new low since March; the year-on-year growth in importation surpassed the expected growth, and the cumulative trade surplus in October continued to narrow sharply. In October, the year-on-year growth rate of exports continued to fall 1 - In October, China’s exports were 1549.7 billion U.S. dollars, up 22.0 percent over the same period of last year, a deceleration of 0.7 percentage points from the previous month and a decrease of 10.7 percentage points from the same period of last year (see Figure 1).
