本文通过对美国《时代》周刊先后10次关于蒋介石封面报道的仔细考察,管窥外媒视角中的蒋介石形象变迁,提出《时代》报道中蒋的人物个性特征符号先后经历征服者、抗日政治强人和自由、美国化中国的希望化身三个阶段,揭示出蒋介石不过是卢斯实现其“美国世纪”理念所构建出的中国童话的载体。
Through careful examination of the coverage of the cover of Chiang Kai-shek by the “Time” magazine of the United States in the past 10 times, the paper analyzes the change of the image of Chiang Kai-shek in the perspective of foreign media and proposes that the symbol of Chiang Kai-shek’s personality traits in the “Time” Freedom and the transformation of the hope of Americanization into three phases, revealing that Chiang Kai-shek is merely a carrier of Luz’s realization of the Chinese fairy tale constructed by his “American century.”
